AMS GP Opportunities NT 2026
Locum | Permanent | FIFO Roles Available
Medipeople is working with long-standing health services across remote Northern Australia to recruit experienced GPs for a range of 2026 opportunities, including locum blocks, permanent roles, and FIFO arrangements.
These roles are based across coastal and inland remote communities in the Top End, within reach of Darwin and a major regional hub, offering meaningful clinical work, strong remuneration, and excellent logistical support.
Location Overview
Remote island and coastal communities in North East Arnhem Land
Mainland regional centres with regular air access
Smaller inland communities supported by regional hubs
FIFO and permanent options available in select locations
2026 Locum Blocks Available
Multiple confirmed blocks throughout February to December 2026, including:
3–6 week rotations
Longer continuous placements
Ongoing roles from January 2026
Ability to combine shorter blocks to meet minimum 3-week commitment (interstate travel)
Permanent FIFO interest welcomed for selected remote communities.
Remuneration (All Inclusive)
Zone 1 – Regional Hub & Larger Communities
$1,600 per day
Under 2 years post-Fellowship: $1,400 per day
Zone 2 – Remote & Very Remote Communities
$1,800 per day
Under 2 years post-Fellowship: $1,600 per day
Festive / Wet Season Premium (15 Dec 2025 – 23 Jan 2026):
Zone 1: $1,650 per day
Zone 2: $1,850 per day
Flights, accommodation, and logistics included
