chance to enjoy a tropical lifestyle, we now have opportunities for both full time staff specialist and locums in the Oncology
Department. Our client is a 345 bed tertiary Hospital which is designated as the National Critical Care and Trauma
Response Centre. The hospital services a population of at least 140,000 however the catchment area is vast, and includes
urban communities, regional hospitals, remote Aboriginal communities and patient transfers from northern Western Australia
and Timor.
The Department of Oncology is actively involved in a range of clinical trials as part of national and international collaborations
as well as investigator initiated on-site trials, the department participates in training of clinicians in the Royal Australasian
College of Physicians, students from the graduate medical school, visiting students from Australia and overseas. The existing
clinical facilities include multidisciplinary tumour services, comprehensive palliative care service and a full range of support
services. There is additional support from a visiting service from Royal Adelaide Hospital.
